As Revive! franchisees grow their businesses, having a good understanding of their operational and financial performance is paramount.
And that’s where Revive!’s bespoke management web app (MWA) comes in. Designed in-house by the company’s own IT department, the web-based system manages every aspect of their business from quotations, diary planning and technician scheduling right through to invoicing. Franchisees can access the MWA dashboard from anywhere via their desktop, tablets or phones.
Analysis of the data collected delivers valuable insights to each franchisee, enabling them to make beneficial changes.
Business growth executive Joe Nicholson is recognised throughout the Revive! network as the resident ‘data expert’. It’s his job to analyse the wealth of data and go through the results with franchisees on a one-to-one basis to help them get the most out of the Management Web App.
He explained: “To achieve planned successful growth, our franchisees need to step back and take a strategic overview of their businesses. When you’ve got ten to twenty technicians on the road it’s impossible to know what’s going on at all times – but data collected from each technician’s handheld tablets via the Management Web App enables us to have a really clear picture of their individual productivity and profitability.”
From the quotation information fed into the system, the business growth team can spot emerging trends, keep an eye on pricing and help improve conversion rates. Continued Joe, “for example, if we see that a franchisee has received a lot of alloy wheel enquiries where the work was out of scope, we can look at ways to tweak their local advertising to help make the Revive! offer clearer, save the franchisee valuable time and improve their conversion rate moving forward.”
Data drawn from the Management Web App is at the core of the business growth team’s latest training initiative, the profit clinic. The Revive! accounts team and the business growth team combine to run one-to-one sessions with franchisees to help them gain a better understanding of their financials and use the data to drive up profit and growth.
Said Ricky Taylor, Revive! business growth director: “Our role is to help franchisees’ development and get them to think and then act differently. That way they become stronger and healthier. It’s not all about numbers – it’s about understanding how a business has got to where it has and what we can learn from the data moving forward.”
