As a business owner you are often called upon to represent your business. This could be with local press in your area, as a sponsor for a local sports team or even to a customer who has a question, complaint or compliment.
It is beneficial for a franchisee to go out and market their business and brand throughout their territory, whether that be selling their services to new dealerships or taking part in promotional campaigns across social media. Putting a recognisable face on your business allows customers to associate it more positively as an individual trying to help them, rather than as a faceless organisation just trying to sell a product.
Relationship building
While your technicians will take up the role of face-to-face customer interaction on most occasions, it is still important for you to check in on customers to have a regular feed of information on their key pain points and where you can better support their business, both increasing your incoming work and improving customer relationships at the same time.
Learning what makes your customers tick gives you a fantastic advantage over your competitors, it gives you an immediate opening for building on your relationship. Asking questions relating to the person rather than their business, “How’s the family?”, “What car are you driving?”, “How was your holiday?”. This builds a rapport that encourages the customer to engage with you, making them more likely to open up and have a positive impression of you, the brand and your business.
Local Press
As a small business owner you may on occasion be contacted by the local media to discuss issues going on within the community that relate to your business such as the deteriorating conditions of UK roads, local road safety campaigns, or community outreach programmes. These are valuable opportunities for you to highlight your business on a wider scale reaching new areas of your territory that you may have missed previously. In these situations, it is important to not go for the hard sell, you should answer the journalist’s questions as a priority with the option to tie in your business operations where they best fit.
If you are concerned about being questioned by local press, don’t worry, we are here to help. The Revive! Marketing team provide a wide range of marketing support to our franchisees and they are happy to coach you through the process and ensure all parties reach the result they are looking for.
Sponsorship opportunities
Many businesses are approached by their local teams for sponsorship, these are valuable opportunities to get your name out amongst the local community, along with promoting a community/family driven approach to business. While it may seem only a small community driven project, you must consider the wider area that your brand will be featured, particularly with a sports team, who may play games across your territory, getting your business brand seen across the country, and widening your reach overall.
Many Revive! franchisees sponsor local football teams and promote their businesses through them, Revive! UK even sponsors the Coventry Blaze Ice Hockey team which has many other teams coming from across the country to face the team, publicise the Revive! name further afield.
Marketing support and guidance is just one of the many ways Revive! support our franchisees – you will not be on your own as you launch and grow your franchise business.
