Hear from the man behind the first million-pound Revive! franchise

Nathan Holmes started Revive! Cambridge in 2007. He’d been working as a utility meter reader and was ready for a change. It was time for him to be his own boss and as a car enthusiast the Revive! opportunity seemed to be the perfect choice to start his million-pound business.

After training at head office he took to the road and picked up dealership business in the very first week. Looking to expand Revive! Cambridge further in 2012, ambitious Nathan offered Andy Blackhurst and Adam Holmes the opportunity to buy into the business. Andy was his first employee and Adam Holmes a long-time friend. Although Adam and Nathan share the same surname and live in the same village, they aren’t actually related.

In 2016 the company changed name due to their rapid territory expansion and are now known as Revive! East Anglia.

“I couldn’t achieve what I wanted to achieve by working for other people. I wanted control of my own destiny” said Nathan.

Back in 2012 the company had a 5-year plan to hit a target of £500,000 sales turnover. In 2015 the company exceeded their target and turned over £685,000. The trio have now re-evaluated their target and are planning to hit the £2 million mark by 2020 making their mark as a million-pound business.
