Revive! Exeter: From IT to Franchisee

New franchisees to the network Scott Jaques and Jon Kay recently opened Revive! Exeter, so we sat down with Scott to find out why they decided to go with Revive! for their future franchise business.

Scott has lived in Exeter for over 18 years and is currently situated just outside the city with his family. Scott had been working in the IT sector for 20 years as a software developer before he decided he wanted a change. He had been finding that spending so much time in software development had gotten increasingly boring due to the lack of personal reward he felt. To combat this, he made the decision to go into self-employment with his long-term friend Jon Kay.

Following extensive research into business and franchising opportunities, Scott and Jon found impressive feedback for the Revive! business as a whole with very favourable feedback from franchisees and an impressive awards list to go with it. One of the key things Scott wanted when investing in a business was for it to be a scalable management franchising opportunity. Both he and Jon wanted the opportunity to be flexible as both have growing families, they wanted the ability to do other things and come back to the business when necessary.

Another of the big benefits Revive! offered was the vast support network offered to franchisees. Research suggested that Revive! were one of the top franchisors for support in the UK. This support included the training Revive! would put the franchisee through prior to the launch of the business, both Scott and Jon were put through an extensive six week training programme including marketing, finance and technical training. All of which gave Scott a better insight into the SMART repair industry and Revive!’s standing in the industry.

Scott and Jon are both benefiting from the long standing history of Revive!, right down to being an existing known name in the sector, which provides the benefits of pre-existing marketing materials to promote the business along with a fully optimised website designed to bring in customers and enquiries.

In the next five years Scott is looking to invest into expanding his territory into the surrounding areas, or purchasing a new Rapid Repair Unit. Scott is hopeful for the success of Revive! Exeter due to the longstanding success of other territories close by and the support provided to him through Revive!.
