The International Franchising Show is back once again this weekend at the Excel Centre in London on 17th-18th April. With over 250 exhibitors (including Revive!), over 60 speakers and more than 50 international brands on show the IFS will be welcoming over 11,000 visitors looking to explore the world of franchising. Whether you are new to the industry or have been operating in it for years, there is always something new to learn at the show.

Take your time – Plan your visit
It can be incredibly daunting prospect, walking into an arena filled with opportunities for your next business enterprise, but take your time. Take a look at the list of exhibitors before hand and highlight any key prospects you’d like to visit and talk to (make sure Revive! is one of them). This will firstly give you a few key stands to hit throughout the show but it will also help you narrow down a list of questions for each franchise, to help you build a picture of what your next steps will be and who you want to jump into business with. By all means visit any stand that catches your eye on the day, but finding a few highlight choices will help you plan your day out.
Seminars for Success
With so much going on throughout both days of the International Franchising Show it’s easy to miss something which is why doing your research about what’s on during the event is key. With seven theatres hosting over 60 speakers with a broad selection of learning opportunities for both franchisees and franchisors, there is certain to be something of interest for all attendees to the show. So, make sure you check out the show guide to see who will be on stage, there will be so many different topics discussed from industry specific insights from business insiders to broader franchising information applicable to almost any business.
Follow up on any key conversations
It’s easy to forget about with all the excitement of the show but this is a business focused event where you could make life changing decisions and meet people who you will be working with for years to come. Make sure you note down any contact details of key prospects and follow up with them after the show (even if it’s just to thank them for the conversation). You want to make an impression and at such a busy event that can be hard to do. Make them remember you! The IFS isn’t just for future franchisees to look at businesses, it allows franchisors to assess you and how you might fit into their network in the future, making a good impression counts.
