When running your own business, it’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day organisation and overall targets that you’re trying to hit. Before you know it, you are passing major milestones without even realising. Once franchisees move out of their first year in business the years tend to blend together. Revive! are no strangers to this phenomenon, which is why we regularly celebrate our franchisees major anniversaries at our Annual conference, this way we can make sure each and every member of our network gets the recognition that they truly deserve.
Why celebrate?
In 2025 alone Revive! have seven major anniversaries (5 Years, 10 Years, 15 Years, 20 Years) for our franchisees. But why is it so important to mark these occasions? Well, it’s important to remember that business is hard, not everybody has the endurance, skills and importantly luck to make it through their first year, let alone 20. Beyond the everyday struggles of running a business there are the global issues that can pull you from success, be it Covid, a recession, Brexit or just general national uncertainty.
Those that not only survive but thrive in this state can look back on their time and realise their achievement, the notable moments and key business events that shaped their company and grew it to the state it is now.
Revive! Chester – 20 Years

A lot has changed in the 20 years Revive! Chester has been in business, Very quickly Mike Haselden’s SMART repair service was in great demand from car dealerships and the general public and soon there weren’t enough hours in the day. Buoyed by his success, Mike realised that the way to go was to get more vans on the road and start employing technicians. Revive! Chester now has 10 Technicians along with a specialist Rapid Repair Unit, ensuring he’s ready for the next 20 years.
Liverpool – 20 Years

Also celebrating their 20th anniversary is Revive! Chester’s neighbouring territory Revive! Liverpool. Paul McCracken has been a consistent presence in the Revive! network always available to help younger franchisees and eager to push his techs to the next level. Revive! Liverpool works on a fully mobile basis covering the entirety of the territory with three technicians.
How to mark the occasion
There are many ways to celebrate a company birthday, while some decide to keep it rather low key with just a subtle social media post to mark the occasion, others choose to go all out with customer drawing anniversary discount sales. Revive! will generally hit the in-between with social media commemorations for the franchisee, a specially made certificate presented at our Annual conference event in front of all their colleagues and a press release to the local media making sure the occasion is celebrated while also bringing valuable publicity to the business.
Surrey – 15 Years

Revive! Surrey has gone from one small territory in Guildford to expanding across numerous territories and succeeding in establishing itself as one of Revive!’s leading franchisees. Jay Belam initially started his business as a single van on the road repairing cars and dealing with customers. He now has 16 technicians along with a Rapid Repair Unit and expanded his territory once again this year to take on the Farnham territory.
Bournemouth – 15 Years

Ian Gator of Revive! Bournemouth will be passing his anniversary in November, marking 15 years of him traversing the roads of Bournemouth. Ian has always been a fantastic technician and ensures all his customers receive the highest levels of outstanding customer service.
Tamworth – 15 Years

Revive! Tamworth have been an incredibly hard-working franchise for the past 15 years, Paul Mann is extremely diligent in his customer service ensuring every customer is thrilled with the results of their repair, which has resulted in many five-star reviews across his Trustpilot and google business pages.
Reflect on your past mistakes
Often when people pass a significant milestone in their lives, such as a big birthday or major anniversary they will reflect on their past and highlight the mistakes they’ve made and how they would approach things differently now. But why wait for a big milestone to make a change?
While a big milestone might trigger you looking back on your past few years, there is no reason that you can’t change your business for the better now. Making changes to your business for the better, is a necessary requirement of business management and shouldn’t be dictated by a calendar date. Think back on your mistakes regularly and make changes now to ensure they are repeated in the future, then when you pass your milestones, you can focus on your successes and victories rather than your defeats.
Birmingham North – 5 Years

5 years ago, Paul Morris was a Revive! technician looking for a way to build his career as he knew he didn’t want to be technician for the rest of his life. Now he is celebrating his fifth year as a Revive! franchisee and has just signed his next contract to continue his journey with Revive! Birmingham North.
Glasgow – 5 Years

Of course, five years ago meant we were in the depths of the Covid pandemic, not the ideal time to launch a new business, but that is just a small part of Revive! Glasgow’s story. Following the challenging launch Ian Scott weathered the storm and turned the Scottish franchise into a highlight of the Glaswegian automotive space. Ian even began caretaking the neighbouring Paisley territory which has been so successful for him he is exploring the possibility of moving into the territory permanently.
